There will be just as much action off-track as there will be on-track at this weekend’s Armor All Gold Coast 600 – Here is Speedcafe.com’s insider’s wrap of what to do once the sun goes down on the Surfers Paradise street track.
Among the headline events are the V8 Nights pool party which starts at the Mantra Sun City at 6.30pm on Thursday, October 18.
The night will feature live band, grid girls, canapes and beverages, guest drivers including ex-Formula 1 driver Tonio Liuzzi, IndyCar ace Mike Conway, plus a raft of regular V8 Supercars drivers, V8 Utes stars, Carrera Cup drivers and a heap more on the pool deck.

Friday night promises to be a memorable one when the mystery of one of the most widely documented incidents in Australian motor racing history is solved.
The Pirtek Legends Dinner at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Hotel Resort and Spa will reveal the identity of a witness to the Dick Johnson rock incident at Bathurst in 1980.
The fan will break his 32-year-old silence on how the rock rolled onto the track, destroying Johnson’s race but also helping to establish an iconic career.
Among special guests will be Johnson’s co-driver John French and Kiwi hero Greg Murphy along with some surprise appearances.
There are limited tickets available for the event. This special evening starts at 7pm and continues until 10.30pm with tickets priced at $300 each or $2750 for a table of 10.
And when the race ends, the party begins on Sunday night, October 21, when The Greenroom returns.
Presented by Speedcafe.com, The Greenroom, supported by Bundaberg Rum, Millers Beer and Smirnoff Vodka will be at the Shooters Super Club and will feature DJs, Bundy Girls, prizes, giveaways and more.
