Australia's Carrera Cup Championship is set to take on a new name, with recently announced title sponsor IFX to be replaced by its global brand, City Index.
The one-make series will now be known as the ‘Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia'
Porsche Cars Australia Motorsport Manager, Jamey Blaikie, says using the global brand will benefit both the class and the sponsor.
“Having the globally recognised City Index brand used in the title partnership will give the company the ability to leverage its involvement not only in Australia, but in its many international markets,” said Blaikie.
“This rebranding signifies that City Index recognises the benefits of the title partnership and the potential to leverage its involvement in the championship internationally.”
The fourth round of the seven round championship will be held at the L&H 500 at Phillip Island on September 16-18.
