Citroen has released the first images of it new C3 rally car which will make its debut in the World Rally Championship next year.
After sitting out this year, the French marque plans to return to the WRC as a full manufacturer entrant with the C3, which has been built to the new 2017 championship regulations.
In accordance to the new rules, the cars will produce more power, feature a new aerodynamic package and will be 25 kilograms lighter.
The images show Northern Irishman Kris Meeke behind the wheel of the C3 during its first gravel test at the Château de Lastours test area in the south of France.
Citroen is yet to confirm the full details of its challenger which appeared in a red camouflage livery at the test.
