The two squads are the latest to confirm they will enact the mandatory requirement to put rookie drivers in each of their cars for two practice sessions across an F1 season.
At RBR, Ayuma Iwasa will step into Isack Hadjar’s car for the first hour of practice in Barcelona.
“I’m excited to be driving with the team during FP1 in Barcelona this weekend,” he said.
“The last time I drove a Formula 1 car was in Abu Dhabi last year, so it will be a new experience for me with the current car and regulations.
“I’ve spent a lot of time preparing in the simulator so I’m looking forward to getting out on track, learning as much as possible and helping the team during the session.”
Audi, meanwhile, will sideline Nico Hulkenberg to field former Alpine reserve driver Paul Aron in Barcelona FP1.
Aron will then make a second FP1 outing in place of Gabriel Bortoleto in Austria at the end of this month.
That sessions kicks off at 9:30pm AEST on Friday.
