The FIA has ruled that Formula One drivers will not be permitted to use the DRS through Eau Rouge at this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.
The FIA has stated that safety concerns regarding its use is the reason for the ruling in one of the world's fastest, most famous corners.
After listening to several drivers' concerns, and investigating the safety risks, Autosport.com reports that the FIA wrote to the teams to tell them that DRS use will be outlawed through Eau Rouge for both practice and qualifying.
It will not be an issue during the race as the single DRS activation zone starts after Eau Rouge – on the straight from Raidillon to the Les Combes chicane.
This weekend's Belgian Grand Prix will start on Friday.
