Juan Pablo Montoya and Oriol Servia have been selected to conduct testing of the universal IndyCar aerodynamic kit which will be introduced in 2018.
Montoya will drive a Team Penske Chevrolet and Servia a Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda for the four tests.
Those teams will provide crews for their respective cars, though data will be held only by IndyCar until testing is complete, when it will be provided to all teams.
Montoya will also drive in kit and chassis supplier Dallara’s simulator in Indianapolis, the day before the first test begins at the Brickyard.
Both men have driven part campaigns this season, Montoya for Penske in the two Indianapolis races (road course and 500) and Servia in the Indianapolis 500 and Detroit double-header.
Montoya has 93 CART/IndyCar starts to his name, while Servia has racked up 202 across Champ Car and IndyCar.
The superspeedway kit will be tested at Indianapolis on July 25-26.
