Second-generation racer Nash Morris will continue his busy start to 2021, making his National Trans Am debut this weekend.
The 17-year-old last weekend raced in the TA2 Muscle Car Series for the first time, taking an impressive win at the final leg of action at Sydney Motorsport Park.
He will remain in the same #40 Ford Mustang as part of a 24-car field for the Trans Am round at Phillip Island in the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships opener.
Among his competitors will be Nathan Herne – who took the other three TA2 race wins at Eastern Creek – plus Aaron Seton, Owen Kelly, Brett Holdsworth and Tim Brook.
Ben Grice and Dylan Thomas join Morris, who has also raced Super3 already in 2021, in making their category debuts this weekend.
Trans Am competitors will take part in two practice sessions and qualifying on Friday, before two Saturday races and a Sunday finale.
