R&J Batteries is proud to announce an exciting new chapter in its New Zealand journey, with the addition of a new branch in Whangārei from 1 April 2026. This milestone marks the company’s continued growth across New Zealand and welcomes the 30th branch in the R&J Batteries network.
The new Whangārei location will continue the legacy of Filter HQ, a respected family run business that has been supplying high quality filters, oils, and battery products to the Northland region. Customers can expect the same trusted brands, experienced team, and high level of service they have come to rely on, with all Filter HQ staff remaining on board as part of the R&J Batteries family.
Filter HQ has been owned and operated by Lance Johnston and Rowena Humphreys since 2022 and has built a strong reputation within the local community. With the unfortunate passing of beloved Lance last year, Rowena made the decision to sell the business, allowing R&J Batteries to continue the legacy and ensure the business remains in strong hands for the future. R&J Batteries is honoured to carry this legacy forward and continue supporting customers across the Northland region.
