Stand-by for a new look to Jim Beam Racing’s Ford Falcon FGs.
The championship-leading team will debut a new colour scheme at this weekend’s first V8 Supercar endurance race, the L&H 500 at Phillip Island.
Bourbon giant Jim Beam has instigated a livery change that will appear on both the #17 and #18 Falcons of Steve Johnson/Marcus Marshall and James Courtney/Warren Luff respectively.
The new colour scheme will remain on the cars for the duration of the 2010 V8 season.
Jim Beam Racing’s Sporting Director Adrian Burgess told Speedcafe.com.au that the look of the cars will definitely change, starting this weekend at The Island.
“Jim Beam is going through a rebranding exercise, and the car is going to have some changes in its appearance,” Burgess said.
“I’d say the changes are significant. You’ll definitely notice the difference between the car that was at Townsville and the car that we’ll run at Phillip Island.”
According to a sign at the Dick Johnson Racing workshop, the car will be seen for the first time on Tuesday, although a ‘first media pics’ deal has been done with long-standing Australian motorsport magazine Auto Action.
