Craig Lowndes will sport a new livery when the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship reaches Pukekohe next month, with fans given the opportunity to win Lowndes' race suit from the event.
The Autobarn Lowndes Racing entry will carry a one-off livery in National Storage colours instead of the green, black and yellow branding the car has carried through the 2018 season.
It comes as a result of a deal struck between Triple Eight and National Storage in July which sees branding on the team's two Red Bull Holden Racing Team cars.
“We're very pleased to welcome National Storage on board as the major partner on car 888 for the Auckland SuperSprint,” said team boss Roland Dane.
“Since joining Triple Eight in July this year, they've been extremely supportive of what we do and have shown a great deal of enthusiasm for the sport.”
As Autobarn does not have a presence in New Zealand, it was a logical move for Lowndes to carry revised branding for the event.
“We've really enjoyed working with the Triple Eight racing team, from both a storage perspective and via our fan engagement initiatives,” said National Storage managing director Andrew Catsoulis.
“We have a strong focus on growing the business in both Australia and particularly in New Zealand, so we jumped at the opportunity to be major partner at the upcoming Auckland SuperSprint.
“The new livery and racing suit look fantastic and we think it's going to make a huge splash on the circuit.”
Alongside the new war paint, the team is offering fans the opportunity to win Lowndes' race suit via a design competition.
Fans are encouraged to create their own designs and post them to Instagram using the #NSLockerRoom.
The winner will then be chosen and announced by Lowndes during a Facebook live event on the Autobarn Lowndes Racing Facebook page at 1600 AEST on October 25, when the team's race livery will be unveiled.
The Auckland SuperSprint is set to be hold on November 2 to 4.
