Sunday at the Mount Panorama kicked off with the Fanatec GT World Challenge, which saw Liam Talbot and Max Hofer take back-to-back wins following their dominance across the event.
The set the scene for the main event itself – the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour – which was an enthralling battle. Supercars racer Will Davison had put the #23 BMW M3 on pole position during Saturday’s qualifying, with a host of name drivers on the huge starting grid behind him. That included Dick Johnson Racing team-mate Anton De Pasquale, as well as Marcos Ambrose, Thomas Randle, Aaron Seton, Dylan O’Keeffe and 2022 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series winner, Tony D’Alberto.
Yet it was Jayden Ojeda who came out on top after a stunning performance with co-driver Simon Hodges, the pair taking the #21 BMW M4 to outright victory.
The Shannons SpeedSeries is back in Phillip Island from the 12-14 May.
