Mark Skaife will not announce his future in V8 Supercars today.
The six-time Bathurst champ was due to reveal his future, but due to the death of Dan Wheldon in the Las Vegas IndyCar crash, Skaife has decided to postpone his announcement.
Wheldon was due to race at the Armor All Gold Coast 600 this weekend
Skaife was announced as the chairman of the newly-formed V8 Supercars commission, but could not take the top job until he quit racing.
Skaife has been an endurance driver for TeamVodafone over the past two years, winning this year's L&H 500 Phillip Island and finishing second at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
If Skaife takes his chairman role, he will be force to stop racing as a V8 Supercars driver.
There is no word yet on when the announcement will be held.
