Speedcafe.com has added more awards to its trophy cabinet by claiming two big gongs at the national V8 Media Association awards in Sydney.

The highly acclaimed website’s editor Stefan Bartholomaeus landed the prestigious Journalist of the Year prize for the second successive year.

Bartholomaeus also took out the prize for the Best Feature story for his piece on Jack Perkins’ journey to his maiden V8 Supercars main game win at the Castrol Gold Coast 600 in October.

The awards add to the treble of wins Bartholomaeus pulled off at the 2014 V8 Media Awards.

“Stefan’s awards are testimony to the hard work he puts in without fail every day and every week of the year,” Speedcafe.com editor-in-chief Gordon Lomas said.

“His ability to sniff out news is without peer and his unwavering work ethic continues to help solidify Speedcafe.com as one of the premier motor racing websites in the world.”

A highlight of the evening was the induction of the late Evan Green into the Hall of Fame.

Other winners included Lewis Isaacs (Auto Action) for the Best News story on Triple Eight signing Shane van Gisbergen for 2016, Tony Schibeci (On The Grid) Best Radio/Podcast, Richard Craill (SEN 1116, Network 10) for Best Commentator, Speedcafe.com photographer Daniel Kalisz for Best Photographer while Rob Cianflone won the Best Off-Track Photo for his brilliant image of Marcos Ambrose.

Peter Trevaskis (Prodrive Racing Australia) topped the Best PR award and also landed the Best Activation or Stunt for the team’s season launch on board the HMAS Canberra aircraft carrier.

PRA also took the Best Feature or Promotional video for the Back to the Future effort made through Pepsi and Universal Pictures which engaged BAM Vision & Axis Films to create the ‘Hollywood’ style flick.

Network Ten claimed the Best In-Broadcast News/Feature story on the reaction to the Chaz Mostert Bathurst crash.
