Organisers of the Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters series have revealed a heavily revised seven-event calendar for 2019.
Next season's schedule will not take the popular series to Symmons Plains, Darwin, Townsville or Newcastle as it did this year.
Instead, the category will visit Phillip Island in April, Queensland Raceway in July, and make an appearance at Muscle Car Masters at Sydney Motorsport Park over the Father's Day weekend.
“The 2019 calendar took a lot of work and consultation to get right, but we are very pleased with the results,” said category manager, Tony Hunter.
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with the Superloop Adelaide 500 as it marks the ideal place to kick off our new season.
“Returning to Phillip Island, Winton, Ipswich, Bathurst and Sandown add both great circuits and great regional events to our calendar, as well as finishing the season strongly.
“The ARDC has big plans for Muscle Car Masters and have invited us back.
“We are happy to return as they go back to the traditional date on Father's Day and that weekend will mark a major event for our sponsors and give them opportunities they may not be able to have at other rounds.
“Most importantly, the calendar includes significantly less travel and more time between rounds for our teams that will help keep the series as affordable and accessible as possible, while still visiting great circuits and major events.”
The TCM season will maintain its traditional opener on the streets of Adelaide at the recently renamed Superloop 500 in what will be the category's 11th appearance at the Adelaide Parklands circuit.
Teams will then travel to Phillip Island before an eight week winter break follows the third round of the season at Winton, with the next event at Queensland Raceway, scheduled for July 26-28.
It's then on to Muscle Car Masters in Sydney with Sandown hosting the final round of the year, having swapped places on the Supercars calendar to now follow the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
