The Los Angeles-based Competition Motorsports team has completed its commercial arrangements ahead of its entry in the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour from February 3-5.
Virgin Australia will join major sponsor Ice Break as partner for the Porsche 911 GT3 R which will field previously announced drivers Patrick Long, reigning Le Mans and WEC champion Marc Lieb and David Calvert-Jones.
Fighting in the Class A pro-am category, LA-based Australian Calvert-Jones said the partnership with Virgin was a perfect fit for the program.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Virgin Australia, who alongside leading Australian beverage brand Ice Break Iced Coffee, have complemented the team greatly.”
Virgin Australia has announced the airline will be offering a chartered flight ex-Sydney on the Sunday of the event for 60 fans to cheer on the team.
The flight departs on race morning at 7.30am and will return the same day following the conclusion of the race at 9pm.
Virgin Australia Holidays is offering three levels of travel packages for fans, which include flights and transfers to the famous Mount Panorama racetrack.
