Australian Formula One driver Mark Webber has been honoured with a new grandstand named after him at the Albert Park street circuit.
The Webber Stand will be new for this year, located between the existing Fangio and Senna stands.
The view from the Webber Stand will offer patrons a view of the track coming out of the final corner (Turn 16) and heading down pit straight.
All of the grandstands and public areas are named after famous race drivers, including Jones, Brabham, Prost, Fangio, Senna, Schumacher, Waite and Clark, as well as ‘Brocky’s Hill.’
Single-day tickets in the Schumacher Stand are almost about sold out, so the AGP Corporation says that the Webber Stand is an opportunity to grab a great seat on the main straight for one day or four days.
Tickets start at $49* for Thursday’s action, and a four day ticket is $299* (Check the AGP’s website for full details).
Saturday and Sunday grandstand ticket holders will also be able to enjoy the concerts of Powderfinger (Saturday) and Simple Minds (Sunday).
