The car has been entered under the DRS Racing banner, with drivers David Worrel, Richard Luff and Scott Walker.

The trio will compete in the B1 class for high performance forced induction cars.

The Kia Stinger is powered by a 3.3-litre, twin-turbocharged V6. In production trim, the car makes 272kW (365hp) and 510Nm of torque.

The car has retained its eight-speed gearbox, which will be put to the test by Mount Panorama.

“We’ve got modest expectations for this year, to be honest; it’s a brand new car, and Mt Panorama has its own ways of exposing weaknesses,” said Worrell at the launch of the car.

“We’re in it to finish, and we’re there to have a good time with a bunch of great mates who’ve helped with the build along the way.

“Honestly, I can’t wait to send it up the hill.

“It’s got a lot of power and torque, which is what you need up and down The Mountain, and it should be pretty easy to drive fast over six hours.”

The team has been backed by Bathurst businessman Shane Fowler of Shane’s Signs and dressed in a bright green livery, making it an unmissable entry.
