Brad Jones Racing will change engine suppliers for the 2010 season.
The Albury-based V8 Supercar team will use renowned Queensland engine builder Jamie Noonan next season on a 12 month deal after two seasons utilising Walkinshaw Racing power.
BJR will continue to receive parts and support from Walkinshaws, but have elected to use Noonan Race Engineering as its engine supplier.
Noonan built engines for Stone Brothers Racing a few years ago before switching to Supercheap Auto Racing. He was with SCAR for the start of this season before the team switched to KRE-built engines.
Brad Jones played down the change, saying its simply a chance to try something new.
“Jamie Noonan will be doing our engines next year, and I think it will be good,” he said.
“We’ll still be getting upgrades, or when we get cars built, it will still be done through Walkinshaws, but it’s good to have a change and I think the engines will be strong.”
