Brad Jones Racing has revealed its livery for Nick Percat at next month’s ITM Auckland SuperSprint.
The Albury squad has confirmed NZ Safety Blackwoods as the primary sponsor of the #8 ZB Commodore, which will feature a blue, white and orange colour scheme for the annual trip to Pukekohe Park Raceway from September 13-15.
NZ Safety Blackwoods are a leading supplier of power tools, safety equipment, engineering supplies, and work wear in New Zealand.
Percat heads to New Zealand in a rich vein of form having scored 17 top 10 finishes from 22 races.
Last weekend the South Australian finished eighth and fourth in the two races at The Bend Motorsport Park, which included an impressive comeback drive from 19th on Saturday.
The trip across the Tasman is a poignant one for the team with the round playing host to the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy designed to pay tribute to the late former BJR driver, who succumbed to cancer in 2011.
“I find the Pukekohe circuit enjoyable to drive, it’s old school. This round is also very special to the team and I as it always reminds us of the legendary driver – Jason Richards.” said Percat.
Team owner Brad Jones also added, “This weekend means more to us than the others; it reminds me of the time we spent with JR. I can’t believe it was eight years ago because I remember it like it was yesterday. He was a great driver but more than that, he was a great person.”
Percat sits eighth in the championship standings heading into the Auckland SuperSprint.
