Tim Slade will sport a brand new look on his Freightliner Racing Commodore in this year’s Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
Brad Jones Racing has benched the red, black and grey Freghtliner livery in favour of a predominantly white, red and silver colour scheme.
The team launched the car alongside its new Freightliner Coronado transporter.
Slade is set to embark upon his second campaign behind the wheel of the #14 BJR Commodore following a breakthrough 2016 season at the Albury squad.
The 31-year-old finished eighth in the championship standings aided by an impressive double victory at Winton, which included his maiden Supercars race win.
The South Australian is confident he can build on the momentum gained last year.
“The Freightliner Racing Commodore looks awesome,” said Slade.
“It’s so different to what the car has been over the past few years, we’ve had the design locked down for a while now and I’m excited to finally show it off to our Freightliner Racing fans.
“We didn’t put too much pressure on ourselves last year, we always wanted to do well and aim for the top 10.
“We achieved some great results, and this year we’ll be looking to build on that and be more consistent with our speed and good results.”
Slade will be joined at BJR by new recruit Nick Percat and Tim Blanchard this year.
The outfit will kick off its season at the official tyre test at Sydney Motorsport Park next Tuesday.
