Nick Percat will race in the orange hues of Timken for the final event of the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
Timken currently supports Brad Jones Racing as a minor sponsor but will step up to a title role for the first time on the #8 VF Commodore at the Coates Hire Newcastle 500.
The transnational company engineers and manufactures bearings and related components such as gear drivers, belts, and chains, as well as offering powertrain rebuild and repair services.
“I've had fantastic support from Michael (Pearson, Timken Australia Managing Director) and the team at Timken this year,” said Percat.
“They've supported Brad and Kim for a couple of years as well, so it's awesome to reveal the Timken Supercar for the finale.
“There's nothing else like this on track, so the orange Timken Commodore is sure to stand out.”
The livery will be the 14th different look and 11th different title sponsor for Percat's Commodore, which has run a rolling sponsorship model, this year.
Meanwhile, Percat, who currently sits 21st in the championship, says he is looking forward to taking on the brand new Newcastle East Street Circuit.
“All the teams and drivers are really eager to get to Newcastle,” he added.
“The track is going to provide a new challenge for everyone.
“The track design looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. It has a combination of low-speed and high-speed corners, including a couple of 90-degree turns and a hairpin, plus a mix of elevation changes.
“It has plenty of potential to shake up the order a little bit, and with the championship still up for grabs it all comes down to who can get their head, and car around it the quickest.
“It's going to be one hell of a finale for the fans.”
The Newcastle 500 takes place on November 24-26.
