Nissan Motorsport has unveiled a new look livery for Todd Kelly at this weekend’s Castrol Edge Townsville 400.
Kelly’s #7 Carsales Nissan Altima entry will adopt an eye-catching black and yellow colour scheme featuring prominent branding from sister company Boatsales.
The change is the latest in a series of livery alterations for Kelly this season having previously run Trucksales and Bikesales branding.
A keen waterskier, Kelly has a particular affinity with his latest warpaint having constructed his own race boat using surplus parts from the early days of the Nissan Supercars program.
Aided by his brother Rick Kelly, Todd has developed a 5.2 litre, 720bhp Nissan V8 engine for their boat.
The duo regularly compete in boat events including the internationally renowned Southern 80 ski race held annually on the Murray River in Victoria.
Focussed on continuing Nissan’s rise up the rankings, Kelly heads to Townsville following a strong showing at Hidden Valley, where he scored his first front-row start since 2011.
This weekend will see the Supercars veteran rack up his 500th race start in the category.
Townsville will mark Kelly’s first event alongside new race engineer Matt Rumfield, who has joined the team following a stint at Roush Fenway Racing in his native United States.
