Rising open-wheel driver Matthew Brabham has completed a second test with Andretti Autosport’s Formula E squad at Donington Park.
The third generation racer took time out of his Indy Lights preparations to take part in a Formula E event simulation at the Leciestershire circuit.
Brabham previously tested the Spark Renault SRT-01E Formula E car last month when he met up with the team to aid the development of the all new electric single seater.
While the 20-year-old’s previous test was spent gathering data for the team, Wednesday’s outing was centered around a race simulation as the championship gears up for its inaugural season.
“Another great day all done and dusted in the @AndrettiFE car. Thanks for the opportunity guys. Now switching focus to Milwaukee,” said Brabham via Twitter.
Brabham, who will return to Indy Lights action at Milwaukee next weekend, joined experienced Frenchman Franck Montagny at Andretti for the test.
The 36-year-old is the American team’s only confirmed driver for the season with the identity of the outfit’s second pilot likely to be unveiled at the final official test day on August 19.
Meanwhile, China Racing are the only team yet to unveil their line up for the upcoming Formula E season, which begins on September 13 at Beijing’s Olympic Park.
