Kiwi IndyCar star Scott Dixon has followed up a comment on social media calling for the sacking of the series race director Beaux Barfield.
An irrate Dixon has vented his feelings after being involved in incidents involving Aussie driver Will Power at Sonoma two weeks ago and at Baltimore last weekend.
At Baltimore, IndyCar would not allow Dixon’s car to return to the pits for repair work after he was crunched into the wall after contact from Power.
“It’s quite obvious that Beaux can’t do his job,” Dixon told Autosport.com
“He’s not capable of it and needs to go.”
The two-times IndyCar champion driver remains in contention for a third title ahead of the Houston event and finale at Fontana.
He is on 452 points, 49 points adrift of Penske driver Helio Castroneves who is searching for his maiden IndyCar series title.
