Chelsea Angelo has enlisted the support of two additional sponsors ahead of her return to the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series at Phillip Island.
Having missed the Symmons Plains season opener Angelo’s place on the grid at Phillip Island from March 12-14 was confirmed earlier in the month.
The 24-year old driver’s #2 Astrontech Volkswagen Golf GTI, prepared by Melbourne Performance Centre, will also feature extra backing from Sparesbox and Code Black Coffee Roasters at Round 2.
Both logos are prominent on the front of the VW Golf as well as Angelo’s racing helmet, with the rest of the car sporting the white, orange, and blue colours seen last year.
“It’s great to welcome Sparesbox and Code Black Coffee Roasters into my TCR Australia program for Phillip Island,” said Angelo.
“At this stage, it’s only a one-off deal for me to be on the grid, but I’m hoping that some good results will mean that we can press on for the remaining rounds of the season.
“Phillip Island is one of my favourite tracks, and I’ve had some really good results there in the past, so I can’t wait to get the Astrontech Golf down there and get back into it.”
With Angelo’s VW Golf locked in for Phillip Island, it brings seven manufacturers to the 2021 TCR Australia grid, joining the likes of Audi, Honda, Hyundai, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, and Renault.
Limited spectators will be able to attend the upcoming round of the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships, which will be held from March 12-14.
