The Silverstone-based squad will run a bespoke version of its AMR26, featuring an iridescent finish designed to change colour as the car circulates around the streets of Monaco.
Aston Martin said the effect has been created using a specialist wrap material, marking the first time the team has used the technology on one of its Formula 1 cars.
The one-off design forms part of a campaign titled ‘From Rock to Racetrack’, created in partnership with principal partner Maaden, a Saudi Arabian mining company.
The campaign aims to highlight the journey of metals and minerals from extraction through to their use in advanced engineering and technology.

Alongside the revised livery, the special design will also appear on the race suits of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, as well as the helmets and overalls worn by the team’s number one mechanics across the Monaco weekend.
“This weekend, we are proud to celebrate our principal partner Maaden through this unique livery takeover at the Monaco Grand Prix,” Aston Martin managing director, commercial, Jefferson Slack said.
“We look forward to seeing the striking Maaden design on the streets of Monaco this weekend.”
The livery was unveiled through a promotional film showing the AMR26 emerging from rock formations before transforming and racing through the mountains of Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the campaign’s focus on the role raw materials play in modern industry.
Maaden chief executive officer Bob Wilt said the initiative was designed to shine a spotlight on an industry often overlooked despite its importance to everyday life.
“We want the next generation of engineers, geologists, innovators and problem-solvers to see that the materials shaping the future are forged deep in the earth,” Wilt said.
“This is more than a campaign. It’s a challenge – to look at mining, and Maaden, differently.”
Aston Martin is the second F1 team to unveil a special Monaco Grand Prix livery this week, following McLaren’s announcement of a commemorative design to mark its 1000th world championship grand prix start.
