FIRST PICS: Fiore Falcon gets support
Dean Fiore
Dean Fiore's Ford Falcon FG will run with major support from Bing Lee and Panasonic

Dean Fiore’s Triple F Racing team has locked in major support for the opening two rounds of the V8 Supercars Championship Series in the Middle East.

Fiore’s Triple Eight-built Ford Falcon FG will feature major sponsorship from Bing Lee and Panasonic, as well as his other loyal backers.

While the West Australian driver/team owner is still working on securing a title sponsor for the ‘Australian’ rounds of the championship, he said that he’s pleased to get initial funding and on-going support from two household brands..

“Lionel Lee from Bing Lee has helped bringing Panasonic on board for us again this season,” he said.

“Panasonic is going to be with us all season, but on varying levels. It’s great to have the support again going into 2010.

“It’s very good for us to have their support, but at this stage, it’s a short term fix. For now, the car will look like this for the Middle Eastern rounds, and the marketing company that I use back at home are working very hard trying to have something concrete for Clipsal.

“I find out straight after Bahrain what’s going to happen for the future. It’s no big deal if we don’t have anything for Clipsal, as we have a good level of support now, but it would be ideal to have the naming-rights locked in for the Australian round.”

Fiore has also secured a commitment from Ford Australia, who will supply panels at no charge and receive a discounted rate on parts. He’s currently talking with new Ford Motorsport manager Chris Styring about the car maker’s level of commitment in the future.

“It would be great to have Ford’s support,” he said.

“As soon as I switched to Ford, it has been spot on. Straight away, it has given us support in terms of panels and parts. It’s been fantastic. I’ve been left in the dark a little bit, purely because of their staff structure change at the start of this year.

“I’m hopeful of getting something from them as we move forward.”
