The Holden Racing Team has taken the wraps off its brand-new Holden Commodore VF for the 2013 V8 Supercars Championship.
The factory Holden squad revealed the car at the company’s headquarters in Port Melbourne this afternoon.
The car was unveiled by team drivers Garth Tander and James Courtney, plus Holden’s director of sales Peter Keley.
The launch comes a day after Holden publicly revealed the all-new VF road car.
The VF is the manufacturer’s the 15th model to carry the Commodore name into motorsports competition.
Besides the changes under the skin of the machines under the category’s Car of the Future regulations, one of the main differences with the VF is its side mounted rear wings, moving away from the centre mounted wings that have been a feature of the Commodores since the VR Commodore of 1995.

Tander got his first drive of the Commodore VF at Calder Park this morning before the car was officially unveiled.
The team has retained the majority of its backers from last year, except for bonnet sponsor Rockstar Energy Drinks after a two-year partnership.
The launch of HRT’s new car comes after the revealing of Brad Jones Racing and Garry Rogers Motorsport’s Commodores.
