Gavin Bullas will make his Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series debut at Bathurst next month.
The former Touring Car Masters class champion will compete for Eggleston Motorsport, driving the #38 car that was last driven by Cameron McConville at Townsville and Queensland Raceway.
The team will test at Winton before Bathurst, with team owner Ben Eggleston on hand to assist.
Bullas is excited to get behind the wheel of the EMS machine in a couple of weeks time.
“I am really looking forward to joining Eggleston Motorsport at Bathurst and making my debut in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series” Bullas said.
“Having run in the TCM category for many years now I am relishing the challenge of being in a new car, with a new team and in a new category and looking forward to getting on the track.”
Bullas is hopeful that his debut could lead to more Fujitsu V8 Supercar Racing in the future, and a possible full 2012 season campaign.
“Ultimately I would love to run the whole season in 2012 with EMS if the Bathurst round goes to plan, this is something I have wanted to do for some time now.
“There in no doubt the EMS cars are very competitive, so I am confident that we can be consistent, get some strong results and have some fun.”
The Fujitsu V8 Series at Bathurst will support the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 (October 6-9).
