The Queensland-based Gilmour Racing squad will field a two-car effort in the new Formula A Australia presented by Kumho Tyres series.
It is the first team to fully commit to Formula A which is designed similar to a Formula Libre-style class.
Gilmour, a double outright and multiple national class Australian Formula 3 champion operation, will field 16-year-old West Australian Calan Williams after he tested a Dallara F307 at Queensland Raceway late last year.
The team is yet to confirm who will handle its second Dallara F311, which won the Formula 3 Championship for Jon Collins.

Formula A organisers have reportedly received strong interest from competitors looking to race ‘wings and slicks’ cars outside of the Formula 3 regulars.
These include interest for USF2000 and Formula 1000 cars which are eligible to compete in the series under the multi-class structure.
The first of the non-F3 cars are expected to be announced in the near future.
