The battle between Will Davison and Lee Holdsworth in Abu Dhabi didn’t end at the chequered flag, according to a report in The Daily Telegraph.
The pair made contact during Race 2 when Davison shortcut the circuit at Turn 10 while battling with Steven Johnson.
The Trading Post Falcon driver rejoined at Turn 11, as many chose to do across the weekend, losing minimal time to Johnson.
Davison swung into the path of Holdsworth however, causing considerable damage to the right front corner of the Fujitsu Commodore.
Davison, who was spun in the incident, received a drive through penalty, and was approached by Holdsworth after the race.
“There was a bit of push and shove,” Holdsworth told The Daily Telegraph reporter James Phelps.
“I went up and asked for an apology because he took me out, but he wouldn’t give me one.
“I told him what I thought of him and he pushed me and it got a bit ugly.”
Holdsworth eventually finished 22nd in Race 2, six positions and five laps behind Davison.
The pair sit 16th and 14th in the championship standings respectively.
