Supercars has confirmed that ITM will continue to back the Auckland Super Sprint at Pukekohe Raceway.
The building supplies specialist's extended support for the event was announced at today's official launch of the race meeting to be held from November 3-5.
This year will mark the 17th time Supercars has competed in New Zealand and the final race of its current contract at Pukekohe Raceway.
The event's future on the Supercars calendar is yet to be secured with Supercars and Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) in discussions to forge a new deal.
However, ITM looks set to continue to sponsor the event for a further three years.
“Being able to continue to support the ITM Auckland Super Sprint for another three years was a fantastic opportunity that we couldn't pass up,” said ITM Marketing Manager Chris Boyle.
“As the largest sporting event in New Zealand, with three Kiwis showing the Aussies how it's done, and the tremendous love of motorsport by the ITM store owners and customers, we were excited to be able to bring the race back to Pukekohe.
“The ITM Auckland Supersprint truly has become an event not to miss, made possible by the contribution ATEED has made, providing free trains for all and free entry for kids.
“ITM is very excited about the future racing and looking forward to the ongoing relationship with Supercars and ATEED.”
The ITM Auckland Super Sprint will this year adopt a change of format with two 200km races to be held over the weekend.
