Lee Holdsworth suffered fractures to his right knee and two ribs as well as his pelvis at Hidden Valley.

The full extent of the 33-year-old’s injuries have been revealed following further evaluation of the driver at Freemasons Hospital in Melbourne.

With no surgery required for the injuries, Team 18 remains hopeful that the driver can recover within approximately eight weeks.

That leaves open the possibility of a return at Sydney Motorsport Park on August 26-28.

“The pelvis fracture will take the longest to heal, and Holdsworth will be in a wheelchair for the next six weeks,” read a brief Team 18 statement.

“His expected recovery time will remain at a length of around eight weeks.”

Pirtek Enduro Cup co-driver Karl Reindler has already been confirmed to replace Holdsworth for the Townsville (July 8-10) and Ipswich (July 22-24) events.

Data from the Preston Hire Holden has meanwhile revealed that Holdsworth endured a 56g peak impact load during the crash.

The incident occurred on the opening lap of Race 13 and saw Holdsworth bumped from the pack before making direct side-on contact with the concrete wall.

The Triple Eight built Commodore is being stripped at Paul Morris Motorsport on the Gold Coast before sent to Pace Innovations for specialist chassis repairs.
