Ott Tanak was the victim of a prank that left the WRC star with a wet crotch as M-Sport farewelled the Toyota bound driver in bizarre fashion at Kennards Hire Rally Australia.
The championship winning team marked the Estonian's final event for the outfit by rigging up a contraption that sprayed water into his seat.
Every time Tanak selected third gear in between stages he would receive a blast of water.
The team had diverted pipes designed to clear the windscreen to enable the prank, which was met with good humour by the two-time rally winner, who finished second in Coffs Harbour.
“My balls are nicely wet now,” said Tanak in the post-event media conference.
“Let's put it this way; as M-Sport won the championship this means they must have some quite good engineering… so they made some special system so every time I switch to third gear on the road section, some pipes were wetting my balls.”
Tanak has scooped the WRC Driver of the Year award, voted by fans, for a second consecutive season.
