Scott McLaughlin says he’s ‘never seen a team more determined’ than his Shell V-Power Racing crew as they prepare to race following Supercars’ parity adjustments to the Ford Mustang.
The championship leader has been the class of the field this season, winning seven of the 10 races to date in the new-for-2019 Mustang.
Shell V-Power Racing has yet to make an official comment following the changes although its drivers McLaughlin and Fabian Coulthard have both taken to social media following the news.
McLaughlin’s latest message shows his support for the team which is determined to continue its successful start to the year in light of the aero tweaks when the championship continues at the Pirtek Perth SuperNight this weekend.
“I’ve had some amazing memories with DJR Team Penske in Perth!” read a post on McLaughlin’s Facebook page.
“Never seen a team more determined than us right now.
“No one can adjust parity on hard work and dedication, we have an amazing race team backing us to the tilt, can’t wait to wheel it this weekend for them and our supporters!”
McLaughlin heads Perth’s Barbagallo Wanneroo Raceway this week having recorded wins in the last four races at the venue.
The inaugural SuperNight meeting at the newly resurfaced circuit begins on Thursday with opening practice under lights at 1840 local time.
