Genesis is the newest player in the FIA World Endurance Championship, having this year debuted its GMR-001 Hypercar.
Now the Korean manufacturer has revealed its next move in motorsport with the long-awaited reveal of its Magma GT3 Concept.
The racecar concept has been built in collaboration with FIA World Rally Championship front-runners Hyundai Motorsport.
As it stands, the technical details of the Magma GT3 Concept have not been glimpsed. Genesis said it is still in the exploration phase with “architecture, components and potential development pathways yet to be defined.”
“Making its global debut at Le Mans, the Genesis Magma GT3 Concept outlines a potential future direction for Genesis Magma Racing as it expands beyond its FIA WEC Hypercar program,” Genesis said in a statement.
“Conceived as part of a long-term motorsport strategy, the concept reflects the growing relevance of GT3 competition and its potential to strengthen the connection between Genesis’ road cars and racing activities, positioning both the Genesis and Genesis Magma Racing brands within this category to more closely link road-going and racing portfolios while further elevating their profile in global motorsport.”

The Magma GT Concept is the brand’s first foray into the luxury grand tourer segment, with a particular focus on what it says is “athletic elegance” design.
“The Magma GT Concept and Magma GT3 Concept represent two distinct yet connected expressions of Genesis performance,” said Luc Donckerwolke, chief creative officer of Genesis.
“The Magma GT Concept embodies our vision of luxury and athleticism on the road, while the Magma GT3 Concept translates that philosophy into the race environment, where every element is driven by performance, efficiency and purpose.
“Together, they demonstrate how Genesis is exploring the full spectrum of high performance — from refined grand touring to uncompromising motorsport.”
Hyundai has two cars in this year’s FIA World Endurance Championship.
The team’s #19 Genesis GMR-001 will start sixth while the sister #17 entry will roll off ninth.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans gets underway at midnight.
