Morris’ (#67 Ford Mustang) victory was his 10th in just 20 TA2 starts, leading home Alice Buckley (#150 Chevrolet Camaro) by 1.9s with a two lap dash to the finish.
Aussie Racing Cars champion Joel Heinrich (16 Mustang) came home third ahead of Tommy Smith (#116 Camaro) and Tyler Cheney (#38 Camaro).
Polesitter Ben Gomersall relinquished the lead to Morris at the race start and was hit heavily and sent off the road when Hayden Hume locked his front tyres in treacherous conditions.
Hume limped his battered Mustang back to the pits with substantial front bodywork damage, while Gomersall was able to recover and continue.

As Morris set about building a comfortable lead, Buckley struggled on the tricky surface with outright pace, hunted down by Heinrich in the opening laps.
Take the short survey.
The yellow flag waved and the Safety Car was deployed at the mid-point of the race when Kiara Zabetakis found her way off the track at Turn 1 onto the old drag strip starting area.
Morris earned a yellow card on the restart for not following the Safety Car closely enough, but the Norwell Motorplex driver was still able to lead the field away unchallenged.
Confusion arose when the field crossed the line on what was expected to be the final lap when the chequered flag did not wave.
This seemingly caught out Heinrich, who appeared to slow on the exit of Turn 1 before being passed by Smith.
Smith ran wide into Turn 2, allowing Heinrich back through, and the field continued racing for one more lap.
Kody Garland (#41 Mustang) came home in sixth, ahead of Sprintcar champion Robbie Farr (#7 Camaro).
Gomersall (#32 Mustang) battled back through to eighth after the Lap 1 incident, ahead of Brock Paine (#33 Camaro) and Jackson Rice (#37 Camaro).
The TA2 Muscle Car Series returns for Race 2 at 8:30pm AEST, live on SBS On Demand/SBS Viceland, or Fox Sports and Kayo.
