Two more Car of the Future specification V8 Supercars will complete their first test days when Ford Performance Racing and Brad Jones Racing take to Winton Motor Raceway today.
The factory Ford squad’s most recently completed chassis, FPR 1212, will join its three brethren on track for the first time, while BJR debuts its second chassis, BJR 002. Both cars enjoyed brief shakedowns last Friday.
FPR 1212 will be resplendent in its new Team Jeld-Wen colour scheme; with driver Alex Davison enjoying the added bonus of working alongside renowned race engineer Campbell Little following a reshuffle of the team’s engineering staff.
David Reynolds’ former engineer James Small has been moved onto Mark Winterbottom’s car in place of Little, while Reynolds is now paired with Nathaniel Osborne, formerly the data engineer for Will Davison.
Davison will continue to work directly alongside Grant McPherson for a third consecutive season.
While today’s running marks the second test day from FPR’s allocation of 10 for the year, BJR is completing its second and final Accredited Manufacturer test, which restricts the Holden team to a single car.

Jason Bright and Fabian Coulthard will both get behind the wheel after the squad’s third driver, David Wall, shook the car down at the Wodonga Tafe’s Motorsports Training Australia facility.
BJR 002 will eventually be raced by Coulthard, with Bright having been allocated the already tested BJR 001, and Wall the yet-to-be-completed BJR 003. BJR is the first team to debut two different chassis on its two Accredited Manufacturer days.
The second BJR car will be run in VE bodywork today as the VF is not set to break cover until next Monday, when it will simultaneously be launched by the Holden Racing Team in Melbourne and tested by Triple Eight at Queensland Raceway.
