The race for the V8 Supercars Championship will reach a climax at Sydney Olympic Park next month, where Jamie Whincup is attempting to win a record-equalling fifth title.
Whincup will have to fend off team-mate Craig Lowndes for the crown, while Ford drivers Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison are also in mathematical contention.
As well as officially awarding the champion’s trophy, this year’s post-Sydney V8 Supercars Gala Awards will also feature a Most Popular Driver Award, to be voted on by the fans.
The category is also seeking fan input for its Armor All Best Present Team and the Best Event Award.
In the lead-up to the occasion, Speedcafe.com’s Pirtek Poll is seeking to find the unofficial ‘favourite’ for the Most Popular Driver gong.
