During a demonstration on Saturday, Lindblad performed a series of doughnuts in the Red Bull Ampol Racing Ford Mustang.
However, while that was happening, Ellen Lohr was released in her DTM-spec Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
With cold carbon brakes, Lohr struggled to slow down and came within centimetres of the preceding car.
Lohr stopped, but Lindblad grazed the front bumper of the famous Vodafone-backed Mercedes-Benz.
Lindblad signed the damaged front bumper after the incident.
Speaking on Saturday, Lindblad said he had enjoyed the chance to drive the Supercar.

“It’s been really cool,” said Lindblad.
“It’s been amazing to see all the different cars – all so different from different generations of the sport, so many different years. It’s been really cool to see.
“It was fun. Obviously quite different to what I’m used to driving with a roof,” he said of the Supercar.
“It was fun. It’s such a great noise. It’s so loud. A lot of power. Sequential gearbox, so it’s quite cool to be able to pull the gears.
“It was super different. Even just the visibility was different as well. Very different, a lot of fun to experience something.”

Lindblad said the show runs required a different approach.
“I’m going to be honest, I’ve not always loved this side of it because it’s a different skill,” Lindblad explained.
“When we drive the car, we’re all just used to putting the car on the limit and that’s what we’re used to. Whereas here, it’s much more about making it look nice and having a show and that sort of thing.
“I’m not very talented at doing doughnuts, it’s not really what I’ve been practising for the last 10 years, but there are a lot of people who are telling you you have to do it.
“Sometimes I get more nervous doing that, because you can only crash and do it wrong. You can never do it right. To be honest, so far this week it has been quite chill.”
It’s the second time Lindblad has driven a “V8 Supercar”.
Last year, during his stint in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, Lindblad drove the ex-Shane van Gisbergen Chevrolet Camaro at Highlands Motorsport Park.
That car was purchased from Triple Eight Race Engineering by Tony Quinn and shipped to New Zealand in late 2023.
