Prodrive Racing Australia has taken the covers off the Ford Falcon Richie Stanaway will campaign in the Dunlop Super2 Series at the Red Rooster Sydney Super Sprint this weekend.
The Kiwi is set to make his first solo Supercars start at Sydney Motorsport Park where he will pilot a third Dunlop Super2 Series Falcon FGX entry from the Melbourne team.
Stanaway will drive a black Falcon with backing from WD Installation Services, ActronAir, MEGA Fuels, All Safe, Tickford and LMF.
The 25-year-old tested the car which is the same Super Black Racing chassis he piloted in last year's Pirtek Enduro Cup alongside Chris Pither.
Given his limited Supercars experience, the former factory Aston Martin sportscar driver is keeping his expectations in check.
“I am new to the Super2 series and I don't really know the other drivers, or what to expect, so I will just have to focus on doing my own thing and see where I end up,” said Stanaway.
“The best thing about being part of this team is there are so many drivers and engineers to bounce things off.
“I really enjoyed being part of the group last year so it is great to be back again and this weekend is a great chance to hone my skills before the enduros.”
Stanaway faces a packed schedule for his first day in the series on Friday, with the category set to undertake a 40 minute practice followed by a 20 minute qualifying and an 18 lap race.
