Wilson Security Racing has given one lucky young V8 fan the experience of a lifetime at Hidden Valley Raceway.
Jarrod, 17, has been a Camp Quality patient since he can remember, having dealt with a brain tumour and its complications.
At the Darwin circuit, his illness was forgotten with a hot lap of the 2.9km circuit, alongside team driver Tony D'Alberto.
Jarrod was thrilled with his first experience in a V8 Supercar.
“I loved it. It was awesome,” he told Speedcafe.com.
“Tony let me change the gears down the straight, so that was pretty awesome. The cornering is great, watching him do all the things, the acceleration and the deceleration – it's unreal.
“I don't really know if I have a favourite driver, but I'd say it's Tony D'Alberto now!
“I need to thank Camp Quality, Tony and all heir team. What an amazing day for me.”
The ride was donated to Camp Quality by the Australian Defence Force.
