It was a fireball derby for the ages as we remembered the great Bill Evan’s in a race which took till the final lap to decide.
While the Super Sedans kept the excitement going with a bit of three wheeling action

3rd V35 Jamie Veal
Tate Frost seized the lead from the green flag, engaging in a challenging 25-lap battle with Veal, who eventually settled for third after a series of captivating moves at the top of the ranks.
Charge, beginning in P4 after the shootout, delivered an impressive performance, claiming second place.
The outcome of this race is poised to influence SRA Sprintcar points, with series leader Daniel Pestka finishing 12th and Bobby Daly, second in points prior to the race, securing 7th place.
Daryn Maggs was on hand to present the perpetual trophy on behalf of the Evans family

Despite nearly withdrawing due to motor issues, Mick Nicola Jnr not only competed but also claimed victory with the borrowed Kempy Pipes V3. Moon secured second place after a strong performance in the heat racing, closely followed by the dual state champion Jamie Collins.

Avalon Raceway extends its support to Star Kopa, who was involved in a significant crash during the Sprintcar Heat racing, necessitating assistance.
