Tim Slade and James Rosenberg will stay with Stone Brothers Racing for a further two more years.
The driver/team owner combination has signed a new two-year agreement with SBR, keeping them with the Queensland-based team until the end of 2013.
James Rosenberg owns the #47 Racing Entitlements Contract that Slade competes under. The pair has raced with Stone Brothers under the same deal since 2010.
This new deal, though, is the first multi-year agreement.
Slade, currently 13th in the V8 Supercars Championship, has been one of the most improved drivers in the V8 Supercars field, recently taking three podium finishes at Queensland Raceway.
He says that stability, and SBR's position heading into Car of the Future, is a key reason behind signing the new deal.
“The team as a whole has been going from strength to strength, and it's terrific to have my future locked in,” Slade told Speedcafe.com.
“There's been a few changes and they've all been for the better. If you look around at other teams, things are up in the air, but SBR has its future locked in.
“The last year as my deal will see me through Car of the Future, and our team is as well equipped as many to hit the ground running in 2013.”
REC owner Rosenberg says that he enjoys working with the Stone Brothers team. While the experienced Kiwi racers look after his entry, he has his own input on the running of his own REC.
“I'm part of the deal with them. I'm not on the outside looking in, I'm on the inside with them,” Rosenberg said.
“I choose the driver for my REC, and obviously Sladey has been with me a long time.
“I'm very comfortable with the Stones operation. I have absolutely no problems with dealing with good racing people like them.”
