Supercars has been given approval by the Victorian Government to ease some of its paddock restrictions at this weekend’s Penrite Oil Sandown SuperSprint.

Having previously been restricted to working members of the pit lane and accredited staff, Speedcafe.com has learned corporate guests will be allowed in the paddock at Sandown International Motor Raceway.

Corporate guests will be required to wear a mask within the paddock and have a valid corporate hospitality ticket. Those guests will also be able to participate in pit tours.

Spectators with seated grandstand or park and view tickets will not have access to the paddock.

This week, Supercars confirmed its capacity for the Sandown SuperSprint at 7000 spectators per day.

The facility will be split into zones, those being the grandstand zone, two park and view zones, and the pit paddock zone.

Each zone will have a designated capacity, which will be monitored.

Spectators will be required to scan into each zone, which have separate entry and exit points.

Food and beverage outlets will be available on site as well as limited merchandise in the main grandstand zone. The event will be cashless.

The Sandown SuperSprint takes place across March 20-21.

The Repco Supercars Championship will be supported by the VHT S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championship, Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia, and Heritage Revival.
