Tekno Autosports has taken the covers off its Darrell Lea sponsored Holden which Will Davison will pilot in the 2016 V8 Supercars Championship.
The Gold Coast team has renewed its title sponsor agreement with the famous chocolates and confectionery company which first appeared on the car in 2013.
“We're very pleased to renew our association with Darrell Lea and the Quinn family,” said general manager Steve Hallam.
“A lot of our partners have elected to renew with us, which shows their confidence in what we can do.
“We're really looking forward to getting started in 2016, particularly with Will Davison as our driver.
“Will's pedigree is evident for all to see. He has a great racing history and it goes without saying he's going to do well.”
Following the departure of Shane van Gisbergen to Triple Eight, Tekno owner Jonathon Webb is confident his new recruit Davison will continue the team's upward trajectory this year.
“From day dot Will's been really motivated to work with the team and the car,” said Webb.
“On the back of the first test day, he likes what he's got and feels he can win races.
“I think we can win races. We had our ups and downs last year and still finished fourth in the championship.
“We feel we're a regular front runner. A lot of things can change between seasons but we're pretty confident.”
Davison will undergo his first competitive outing in the Darrell Lea Tekno Commodore when practice begins for the Clipsal 500 on Friday.
