Todd Kelly fended off Scott McLaughlin for victory in the third and final V8 Supercars demonstration race at the KL City GP.
The final encounter proved somewhat more intense than the previous races, with Kelly holding the lead over the second half of the 12 lapper.
McLaughlin finished 0.2s adrift in second ahead of Will Davison, Chaz Mostert and Craig Lowndes.
Lowndes, Kelly and Davison all led across the opening laps, before the Nissan driver pulled what would prove the winning move on the Mercedes at Turn 1 on lap 6.
Kelly had started all three of the demos from pole position after topping qualifying on Saturday morning.
The results of the three races saw Mostert awarded the trophy as the weekend's overall winner ahead of McLaughlin and Kelly.
The five drivers completed the weekend's entertainment with a series of burnouts for the enthusiastic local crowd.
The action proved too much for the Volvo, which failed to make it back to the pits after McLaughlin's tyre frying efforts.
