Tributes flow for ‘National Treasure’ Walker

Murray Walker

Following the death of the legendary Murray Walker, the motorsport community has expressed its grief.

Lead F1 commentator for the BBC (and latterly ITV) from 1976 until 2001, Walker died overnight at the age of 97.

It’s with great sadness we share the news of the passing of BRDC Associate Member Murray Walker OBE.

A friend, a true motorsport legend, the nations favourite commentator and a contagious smile.

We thank Murray for all he has done for our community.
