Filipino-raised Melbourne racer Calleja heads to the season start after he finished his 2023 season third podium for the BabyRace Academy in the WSK Euro Series after he took a win earlier in the year. Prior to 2023 he raced with the Parolin Motorsport and AV Racing outfits.
In his first race of 2024, he will have some stiff competition in the GR3/U10 category, with no less than 96 entries.
Calleja started driving karts at the age of five in the Philippines where he previously lived with his family. Besides the Philippines he have he has since raced and other countries including Thailand and Malaysia. I trained in the United Kingdom for six weeks, raced in the United States and was coached by Australian 17-time karting Champion Dave Sera.
Fifteen-year-old New South Welshman, Vinci will look to make a solid start to his 2024 campaign. He will compete in the OK category for the KR Motorsport team in a Kart Republic chassis.
Practice begins Wednesday (later that day Australian time), and will continue through Thursday. Qualifying and the heats begin on Friday before racing is held through to the finals on Sunday.
