With the V8 Supercars Championship locked in an intense battle for the overall title the battle for Castrol EDGE V8 Predictor supremacy remains just as tightly group as the sport heads to the deciding round at Sydney Olympic Park this weekend.
Just 124 points separates Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes and Mark Winterbottom and a mere 29 points is all the difference between the top three V8 Predictors – Acc-sell-or-ators, Kiwichik racing and Clearly No Way.
With both the V8 Supercars and V8 Predictor championships so tightly grouped both series’ are set to come down to the wire as the championship wraps up on Sunday afternoon in Sydney.
In 2012 both Triple 8 (Lowndes) and Ford Performance Racing (Will Davison) won races in Sydney leaving predicting this round the toughest of the year.
Winterbottom also won in 2011 along with Lowndes once more, who has the best record at the street circuit. Championship leader Whincup is the only driver in contention for the crown to not have won at the Sydney street circuit.
